At Lemaitre Sécurité, we are committed to integrating ethical and sustainable practices in all our activities, from the selection of raw materials to the choice of our suppliers.

Our Commitment to the Environment

Factory 4.0 and Logistics Hub

Our new logistics hub and Factory 4.0 have been designed to optimize industrial efficiency while incorporating a socially responsible approach.

The factory benefits from a modern and optimized organization, consuming less energy thanks to low-consumption LED lighting. We also recover thermal surplus from the compressors, which contributes to heating the buildings in winter through a double-flow "sock redistribution" system".

Additionally, we have chosen to reuse certain machines, such as our third injection machine, which has been completely refurbished by our maintenance department. By renovating rather than discarding, we extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce our environmental footprint, while enhancing the skills of our technical teams through internal training programs.

Equipment, Resources, and Energy
  • Specialized Facilities: ATEX Secured
  • Secured Unloading Area
  • Containment Area for Chemical Products
  • Logistics Dock with Oil Separators

This commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) is not new: in 2017 and 2020, Lemaitre Sécurité respectively built a new energy-efficient logistics site and a Factory 4.0 in Alsace.

ecovadis label

The EcoVadis label allows us to measure our environmental, social, and ethical impact according to CSR principles.

This certification, granted by an independent organization, assesses the CSR performance of companies worldwide. It reflects our commitment to more responsible production, ethical supply chain management, and an overall environmentally respectful approach. It is our way of contributing to a greener world while ensuring that our products remain synonymous with quality, safety, and durability.

We are proud to be awarded the Platinum EcoVadis medal.

Waste Management and Recycling

We are also committed to managing our waste responsibly. In addition to complying with regulations on our emissions, we have strengthened our European commitment by becoming sponsors of the Circular Footwear Alliance (CFA) and collaborating with Fast Feet Grinded (FFG) to find solutions for our production waste.

April 24 marked a significant milestone with our new partnership with the CFA. This partnership reflects our desire to contribute to more sustainable production by joining a European foundation that shares our values of sustainability. In practical terms, we have already recycled footwear that does not meet production standards, and we are implementing collections across Europe to recycle used shoes. The recycled materials can be transformed into playground surfaces, sports fields, car padding, benches, and mats. Our future goal is to create reusable materials for the production of new footwear.

  • Waste Management Telemetry
  • Reduction of Plastic, Paper, and Cardboard Consumption
  • Recycling of Polyurethane Waste
  • Reuse of Protective Toe Caps

Lemaitre Safety Green and Lemaitre Circular

Our commitments are also embodied through our internal label, Lemaitre Safety Green, and the pilot project, Lemaitre Circular, which reflect our dedication to sustainability and innovation.

Lemaitre Safety Green represents our commitment to rigorous eco-design. This internal label ensures that every step of the manufacturing process, from design to distribution, adheres to strict environmental sustainability criteria. We ensure that our materials are recycled, thereby reducing the ecological impact of our products throughout their entire life cycle.

In line with this, the Lemaitre Circular pilot project was created to establish a circular economy within our company. By collecting "non-contaminated" Lemaitre Safety Green safety footwear, we can disassemble and reuse or recycle its components to produce new models labeled Lemaitre Safety Green.

We firmly believe that the company's economic success goes hand in hand with our responsibility to society and the environment.

Our Social and Societal Commitments

At Lemaitre Sécurité, the gender equality index is 92 out of 100.

We are committed to providing training for our employees and fostering career development within the company.

We are particularly attentive to the health, safety, and well-being of our employees.

We are deeply rooted in our Alsatian region and are committed to actively contributing to its economy. Each year, we collaborate with our local partner, Moutons&Co, for eco-grazing, an environmentally friendly land maintenance method that avoids noise pollution and chemical treatments while supporting a local business.

We are also dedicated to the continuous training of our employees. Every member of our team has the opportunity to benefit from internal training to develop their skills and advance within the company. This approach helps us reduce employee turnover and foster loyalty, as our employees appreciate growing in a company that values their professional development.

During the construction of our Factory 4.0, employee quality of life was a top priority. We redesigned workstations to be more ergonomic, reducing strain and ambient noise.

We are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics and compliance, while pursuing our mission: protecting our customers and making a positive contribution to society and the environment.
