We take pride in adhering to the strictest safety standards and ensuring the exceptional quality of our products.

We pay particular attention to the ergonomics, comfort, and durability of our footwear to ensure optimal protection in all situations.

A Rich History

Lemaitre Sécurité traces its roots back to 1848, when Ignace Lemaitre distinguished himself as a pioneer in mechanizing the production of shoes and boots for Napoleon's army. This moment marked the beginning of our commitment to creating high-quality footwear designed to withstand the most demanding conditions.

In 1858, the "Georges Lemaître & Fils" company was founded, specializing in footwear for outdoor enthusiasts, including hunting, hiking, and skiing. Our shoes quickly earned a reputation for strength and durability, a reputation that endures to this day.

In 1974, Lemaitre Sécurité entered the workplace safety market. At a time when workplace safety was becoming an increasing concern, we stood out by mastering the technology of direct injection onto polyurethane double-density (PU2D) sole uppers. This technological breakthrough enabled us to produce safety footwear of exceptional quality, combining comfort and protection while meeting the strictest standards.

In the 1990s, bolstered by our reputation, we expanded onto the international stage. We intensified our global development with the establishment of subsidiaries and a joint venture in South Africa, exporting our expertise worldwide.

Later, to strengthen our production capacity and establish ourselves as a leader in safety footwear, we partnered with the Rahman Group, one of the global leaders in the industry.

Innovation at the Heart of Lemaitre Sécurité

Innovation has always been at the core of our business. We have continuously improved our products to meet the daily challenges faced by workers.

As early as 1982, we revolutionized the safety footwear market with the launch of our first double-density polyurethane (PU2D) range. This injection technology allowed us to create high-quality safety shoes.

Our commitment to innovation did not stop there!

In 1998, we achieved ISO 9002 certification, which attested to our expertise and the quality of our products. In 2001, we introduced the ParaBolic® concept, designed by Jean-Michel Heckel. This technical sole, with its various versions, is engineered to suit all professional activities.

Years have passed, but our quest for innovation continues. In 2003, we earned ISO 9001 certification for the quality of our after-sales service, and in 2013, we added ISO 14001 environmental certification to our accolades. We strive to offer safety footwear that is increasingly effective, protective, and comfortable for workers.

We draw inspiration from trends and technological advancements to offer increasingly high-performance safety footwear!

Addressing the Challenges of Tomorrow

We draw inspiration from trends and technological advancements to offer safety footwear that is increasingly high-performance, comfortable, and durable.

In 2020, we marked a turning point with the construction of our new Factory 4.0, designed with a focus on sustainability and environmental and social responsibility. This modern, optimized, and energy-efficient facility reflects our vision for sustainable innovation.

In the same spirit, in 2022, we launched our internal label: Lemaitre Safety Green (LSG). This label imposes strict specifications on material selection, sourcing, and assembly locations. Thanks to LSG, we have already created five safety shoe models composed of 25 to 30% recycled materials (EDEN, PLANET, EVA, LEVANTE, MISTRAL).

To go further, we have implemented the Lemaitre Circular pilot project. With Lemaitre Circular, we collect, recycle, and upcycle all used Lemaitre Safety Green safety footwear. This is a first for French safety footwear manufacturers, providing a comprehensive circular economy solution, from design to end-of-life management of safety shoes.
